Last month, Class of 2023’s Edu Puig claimed the top spot at Wodcelona 2024 —an inclusive CrossFit competition positioning Barcelona as the European capital of fitness and inclusion. The event champions athletes of all backgrounds, fostering equal opportunities based on age, level, and modality.
Through his CrossFit journey, Edu connected with fellow ASB alumni Carlos Nos ‘20 and Josep ‘14 Nos, founders of Protella—a sports supplement company. Protella is now the proud sponsor of Edu’s CrossFit endeavors!
Carlos joined his brother’s Protella team at just 18, and the company now exports health-driven products like whey protein, snacks, and protein spreads globally—from Dubai to Europe. As Carlos says:
“We were proud to sponsor Edu, but seeing him place first at Wodcelona 2024 was the real highlight. Edu is not just an exceptional athlete, but an even better person.”
Edu’s mother, ASB high school visual arts teacher Ms. Ana Martinez, is equally proud. She attended the event to support Edu along with some ASB students.
Now back at university, where Edu is studying Advertising, Public Relations, and Event Management at Abat Oliba CEU he is gearing up for his next competition. We couldn’t be prouder—Go, Edu!
