Alumni news |
There’s nothing better than seeing our alumni come back to share their journeys and inspire our current students. Earlier this year, we welcomed back Jake Anderson (Class of 2020) and Karolina Tudmann (Class of 2022), who stopped by campus to talk about ASB’s role in supporting the Spanish National Debate Team. They were joined by current parent Peter Freer, father of Zach ’23 and Julia ’25. Together, they’ve played an important part in helping our student debaters shine at the annual World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC), and they’ll be behind the scenes again this year, supporting lead coaches and alumnae Victoria Alvarez ’23 and Ana Rodriguez ’23 at WSDC 2025 later this month in Panama.
Jake, who recently graduated with a degree in International Relations from Stanford University, is fully embracing life as a digital nomad. While at Stanford, he also studied abroad at Magdalen College, Oxford, where he dove into Victorian Literature tutorials. Now, he runs his own education company, Cardinal Tutorials, teaching writing techniques he acquired at Stanford and Oxford to international students in China, and now also in Spain. Based in Barcelona for now, Jake hopes to explore Latin America soon. His younger brother, Josh ’22, is currently studying at UCLA.
Karolina is busy finishing her law degree at the University of Bristol, with plans to practice in the UK after graduation. Her younger brother, Marko, just graduated with ASB’s Class of 2025.
It’s always inspiring to see where life takes our alumni, and even more special when they return to support the next generation of ASB debaters.
