A walk down memory lane today with a visit from Marta Ferrer and Anna Aguilar from the Class of 2014!!

While Marta is currently working for Catalunya Ràdio in Barcelona, London-based Anna is working as a sub-editor at The Guardian. Marta studied Film and Media at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, while Anna studied English and Creative Writing at Brunel University in London.

Both alumnae reminisced over familiarities on campus, like the sound of the school bell, the mosaic wall, the time capsule, and the high school terrace. The new elementary and middle school buildings, auditorium, library, and soon-to-reveal fitness center were additions that had them in awe!

"Visiting school brought back memories of all the lovely teachers who made us feel at home for so many years and reminded us of all the unique activities that made an imprint on us from a very young age. Seeing the new library reminded me of the author visits we had as kids, Ms. Susan's fantastic story-telling sessions with the felt board, and all the activities that made me love reading and writing," shared Anna.

Fortunately, they were able to catch up with some of their former teachers, Ms. Ana Martinez (IB Art), Ms. Marta Vernet (Head of Community Service), Mr. Volchok (Assistant Director), Mr. Mark Pingitore (Director), Ms. Dawn Austin (MS teacher), Ms. Marta Aguayo (Catalan teacher), Ms. Magda Montesinos (HS counselor), Ms. Minu Yzaguirre (HS secretary), Mr. Mark Smith (HS Chemistry), Mr. Hennessy (IB Social Studies), Ms. Bronwyn Evans (Music teacher), Ms. Susan Flemming (Librarian), and of course, our guard, Manuel.
