Every year, the end of the school year brings with it a mix of pride and gratitude, and this year is no different. As we say goodbye to a group of staff who are moving on to new paths and places around the world, we want to take a moment to honor what they contributed and what they meant to this community.
"From teachers crafting lessons to the facilities crew, exhibitions, trips, performances, graduations, and everything in between, we took 975 students from first-day nerves all the way to cap and gown, and we did it together," shared Director Mark. "The care you brought to your work, the relationships you built, and the effort you gave quietly and consistently shaped this school year in ways that will stay with our students long after they leave ASB. You will be missed, remembered, and always welcome back."
We say farewell and best wishes to:
Ms. Jessica Berns, Mr. Noah Clarke, Mr. Adam Erickson, Ms. Rebekah Holbrook, Ms. Kristen MacConnell, Ms. Andrea Martinez, Ms. Samantha McGuinness (one year), Mr. Dante Meyer, Ms. Laia Monguillon, Mr. Richard Petersen, Ms. Amanda Sullivan, Ms. Elsa Vallbuena Miró, Mr. Marcelo Ventrice, Mr. Bill Volchok, Mr. Daniel Whitehair
A Special Farewell to Mr. Bill Volchok
After 27 years of service to ASB, our Assistant Director, Mr. Bill Volchok, stepped down in April 2026. His impact over nearly three decades is impossible to overstate, as is the lasting difference he made in the lives of the many students he helped shape.
As a lasting tribute to Mr. Volchok's contributions to ASB, the school planted a white magnolia tree on campus in his honor. The white blossom was chosen as a nod to his signature braid, a detail added to the tree's plaque, ensuring his story is woven into the school grounds for years to come. Next time you're on campus, make sure to look out for it.
