Congratulations to our incredible school community on a truly inspiring TEDxASB event on June 13, 2023 - a night filled with passionate talks that filled our inspiration buckets.
We couldn't be prouder of our talented students, dedicated teachers, and community members who made this event a tremendous success. The energy and enthusiasm in the room were electric, and the ideas shared on the stage were nothing short of mind-blowing.
From captivating talks on literary genres (Genevieve, G11), turning empathy into action (Anca, faculty), beauty standards (Olvido, G10), climate change (Andrew, G11), innovative imitation (Arnaud, parent), school systems (Catalina, G10), the importance of friendship (Julia, G10), finding your path to success (Nikias, alum 2001-2012) and the personal sharing of the war in Ukraine (Mykola, G10), which received a standing ovation, our speakers pushed the boundaries of knowledge, igniting a spark of curiosity within us all.
A massive shout-out to our outstanding organizing committee, under the leadership of Mr. Hennessy and Mr. Cook, and senior students, new alums from the Class of 2023, Zach Freer and Victoria Alvarez, for their meticulous planning and tireless efforts. You flawlessly orchestrated an unforgettable experience that undoubtedly resonated with everyone who attended.
Asia Navarrete and Karolina Tudman, alumnae from the Class of 2022 and TEDxASB senior leaders last year, were thrilled to be in the audience this year after passing the torch to their TEDxASB presenters Zach and Vicky.
Other new alums from the Class of 2023 joined the evening, with Meilynn Poma providing a delicious spread of baked goods.
Former students Marta and Andy Molina also joined the event to support their brother, Nikias, in fulfilling his dream of delivering a TED talk.
We look forward to continuing the spirit of TEDxASB, embracing new ideas, and empowering ourselves to make a difference in our community and the world. Together, we can continue to shape a future filled with endless possibilities.
