On Friday, June 7, 2024, we celebrated the graduation of 90 exceptional students from the Class of 2024, including 22 who began their journey at ASB in PK3. The ceremony was filled with joy and pride as Director Mark Pingitore, Board of Trustees President Roland Nash, and US Consul General Katie Stana delivered inspiring opening remarks.
Guest Speaker and Assistant Director Bill Volchok, a school veteran who has served as a parent, teacher, principal, and assistant director for over 25 years, shared his unique perspective. Seniors Moises Sakkal and Genevieve Hobey gave heartfelt student addresses before High School Principal Omar Ugalde, IB Coordinator Charmaine Monds, and Spanish Technical Director Magda Montesinos presented the diplomas.
Mr. Ugalde also recognized senior Miranda Newland, who received the Award for Exceptional Leadership, and Alvaro Martin, who was honored with the Award for International Understanding. Attendees enjoyed beautiful musical performances by our talented IB music students.
Congratulations to all our graduates! We are excited to send you off to your future adventures and look forward to staying connected through our vibrant alumni community. Once a Lynx, Always a Lynx!
