Chance encounter with Isabel Hernández from Class of 2005.

Supporting pediatric oncology care together.

Ms. Marta Vernet, Head of Community Service and Activities, and Director Mark Pingitore were delighted to meet former ASB student and alumna Isabel Hernández '05, who attended the school from PK4 to G12, at the Inseparables Charity Gala Dinner of Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona on Saturday evening.

Thirty-three ASB secondary students offered hospitality and waiting services at the event, which supports essential pediatric oncology care. With more than 20 ASB parents, administrators, and alumni joining the 800 guests attending the gala in person, with an additional 250 joining virtually, the event raised more than €88,000. In addition, Venezuelan singer-songwriter Carlos Baute and Spanish singer Rigoberta Bandini entertained guests.

Today a successful singer, Isabel, known under the stage name Izah (@izah_music on Instagram), was attending the event with her husband, actor Carles Francino, who co-hosted the gala.

"This event supports such a great cause," shared Isabel. "I've performed in the past for several of their charity galas. Such a nice coincidence to meet my former teachers from ASB this year!"

We'll be sharing a Spotlight Story on Isabel's life since ASB soon. Watch this space!
