It was a surprise to have recent Class of 2025 graduate, Lucas Srba Cabeza, visit campus last week, back in Barcelona from Brown University, where he is considering pursuing a degree in Chemistry. When comparing his IBDP days to university life, Lucas shared, “It’s challenging but less stressful”. His former English teachers, Mrs. Freer, Ms. Nicalescu, and Mr. Angel Arguelles, were thrilled to hear he was also undertaking an Introduction to Poetry course. Aside from his studies, Lucas is also taking advantage of the numerous club opportunities on campus and playing intramural soccer as well as being a member of Brown Formula Racing, Brown University’s premier design and build team.
During his visit, Lucas was also able to reconnect with his former science teachers, Mr. Whitehair and Mr. Iverson, and catch up with school Director, Mark Pingitore. After a challenging semester at Brown, it was especially heartwarming for him to return to ASB, reconnecting with friends and teachers and enjoying the familiar, supportive environment.
Former classmate, Natalia Stosik, now studying at Bath University, was also on campus to collect her IB diploma and visit with former teachers, including Mr. Bingle.
Welcome home, Lynxes!
