A Special Visit from Ms. Nancy Boyd

A Beloved Principal’s Legacy Lives On

This May, our campus had the joy of welcoming back a beloved member of the ASB family: former Elementary Principal Ms. Nancy Boyd (1975–2012), along with her daughter, Cristina Bové Boyd ’20. They stopped by to check out our Summer English Program for Cristina’s little one, the next generation of Lynx!

Cristina, along with her siblings Monica ’98 and Andrew ’03, spent her early school years at ASB when the campus looked very different, just one main building and a dusty pitch where today’s playgrounds and green field stand.

While on campus, they took a moment to visit the Nancy Boyd Bench near the elementary playground, a special spot dedicated to Ms. Nancy upon her retirement in 2012, the same year ASB celebrated its 50th anniversary.

“Everything looks so different now,” Cristina shared. “It’s amazing to see the evolution of the school and how it keeps growing. We’re touched by how much my mom is still remembered and appreciated.”

We miss you, Ms. Nancy! Your legacy lives on around our campus and in the hearts of so many students, teachers, and families.

Once a Lynx, always a Lynx!
