Earlier this school year, members of the Class of 1993 reunited in Barcelona to surprise their former classmate, Gabriel Lería, on his 50th birthday. For some, it had been more than 30 years since they’d last seen each other, making the celebration all the more meaningful.
The group shared plenty of laughter, stories, and memories from their ASB days. “With only 14 graduates, we really felt like family,” said Verónica Mimoun, ASB alumna and current parent. “Seeing everyone again brought back so many emotions and wonderful memories. We’re all still so grateful for the school—it’s something we always talk about when we meet.”
Verónica also reflected on the close relationships they had with their teachers. “They treated us like their own. We’d meet up on weekends, even have dinners together.” Now a parent to Anna, Carla, and Paula, who have all attended or are attending ASB, she adds, “Some things haven’t changed. Halloween, Ski Week, and Sant Jordi are still going strong. It’s always been a great school.”
