Welcome back to ASB Class of 2022 graduates Nalin Mattig and Giulia Noemi Calabro

In April 2023 we welcomed Class of 2022 alumnae Nalin Mattig and Giulia Noemi Calabro back to campus.

Nalin attended ASB in Grades 6 to 12 and is currently undertaking a three-year goldsmithing apprenticeship in Landshut, Germany. Her sister, Benya, also an alumna, now attends school in Singapore, where she swims competitively. During her visit, Nalin was thrilled to see one of her art pieces on display in the new HS Principal's office and was able to sign it for Mr. Ugalde.

Nalin is passionate about visual arts and designed the 2021 and 2022 yearbook covers while a student at ASB. She enjoyed visiting her former art teacher, Ms Ana Martinez, as well as many other of her former teachers: Ms. Marta (Community Service), Ms. Barajas (HS Counselor), Ms. Linda (HS Spanish), Mr. Santi (IB Economics), Mrs. Freer (HS English), Ms. Jodie (HS Learning Support), Ms. Charo (MS Spanish), Ms. Michelle (IB English), Coach Tex and Coach Lluis.

Giulia, who attended ASB in her senior year, took a gap year this year to work and travel. She’ll commence a degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in Italy in the Fall. She could see some of her former teachers too including Ms. Huner (HS Counselor), Ms. Luisa (HS Spanish), and Dr. Ginnett (IB Biology). Giulia’s brother, Tommaso, is a current senior at the school.
