Júlia and Olivia from Class of 2022 back on campus

Reuniting in Barcelona after first year at university.

In May 2023, we received a visit from alumnae Júlia Jannon Condina and Olivia Garzo from the Class of 2022.

Spanish/French Júlia attended ASB for Grades 9 to 12. She is studying Biotechnology at the University of Barcelona. Júlia’s brother, Adriel, is a current Grade 11 student, and her mother, Ms. Judith, is an MS Spanish and IB Spanish Language and Literature teacher.

Spanish Olivia attended ASB for Grades 1 to 12. Currently studying sciences at the University of Michigan LSA, she is back in Barcelona for the summer visiting family, including her brother, Marcos, a current Grade 10 student.

The alums were able to visit with many of their former teachers, including Mr. Smith (IB Chemistry) and Ms. Ginnett (IB Biology), who both retired this year, and Mr. Cook (IB Economics), who moved to Taiwan. While visiting Mr. Smith’s classroom, they had the opportunity to introduce the Chemistry lesson. They also surprised Júlia’s mom, Ms. Judith, with a quick visit.
