Class of 2016 alums return to ASB

While the campus has changed and the school has grown, the familiar faces and community feel still remain.

The foosball table is still here!

A joy to welcome Alex Haig Montes, Adrià Lladó Mendoza and Marc Riba Rodó from the Class of 2016 back to campus. The trio attended ASB before the school had a middle school facility and state-of-the-art gymnasium/auditorium, so they were very impressed with how the campus has changed, and the school has grown.

After graduating from ASB, Alex completed a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Leeds and a Masters in Finance from University College London. He is currently working in NYC for Deloitte's strategy consulting division, helping executives of the world's largest firms make strategic choices to deliver sustainable growth.

Adrià completed a degree in Business Administration from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2020, including a semester abroad in Hong Kong during his third year, allowing him to travel around southeast Asia while completing his studies. He is currently working at Allianz in their operations department, focusing on innovating the insurance sector in Barcelona. Adri's sister, also an ASB alumna, Mireia '20, is now in her second year at the University of the Arts London, studying Graphic Design.

Marc completed a Politics and International Relations degree at the Royal Holloway University of London in 2019. In 2020, he completed his Graduate Diploma in Law. He is currently the owner and CEO of Blumentech SL., a neuropharmacological development company based in Barcelona.

"We are a revolutionary company working on developing cutting-edge pharmaceuticals. Most recently, we have closed a deal with Terran Biosciences, an American biotech company, to develop a portfolio of patents that show groundbreaking discoveries in inducing neurogenesis to cure Alzheimer's Disease."

Marc's sister and ASB alumna, Emma '19, will graduate this summer with a degree in Psychology from Royal Holloway University. She has just been accepted for her Masters in Clinical and Developmental Psychology at University College London.
