Iggy and Alex from the Class of 2017 back on campus!

"It has changed so much, and we're surprised how many teachers we know still work here!"

A surprise visit to campus on Friday from alumni Ignacio (Iggy) Cruz Solís and Alex Martí Pujolràs, who decided on a whim to stop by the campus for the first time since they graduated back in 2017.

"It has changed so much, and we're surprised how many teachers we know still work here!"

Iggy, who attended ASB from PK3 to Grade 12, studied International Relations at IE Business School in Madrid and will soon work as a Strategy Consultant with Accenture in Barcelona.

Alex, who attended ASB from Grade 4 to 12, focused on his passion for tennis and turned pro following graduation. He is currently ranked in the 400s on the ATP rankings and trains with his team in Barcelona, competing internationally. In addition, Alex is completing his Business Degree online through Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. His sister, Cristina '15, also an alumna, currently works in Madrid as a Sports Consultant.

The duo was able to catch up with many of their former teachers, including Ms. Marta Vernet, Mr. Cook, Mr. Santi, Ms. Davis, Mr. Lopez, Ms. Marta Lujan, Ms. DeZerne, Mr. Whitehair, Mr. Gnagni, Mr. Smith, Mr. Bartlett, Mr. Pedro, Mr. Volchok, Ms. Valentina, and Ms. Minu.

They also toured the new gymnasium and reminisced about annual traditions like Sports Day and International Day. "Those days were our favorite!"

"We are still really close with many friends from our graduating class; we have a great relationship and keep in touch."
