Stefanie (Zaltzman) Abbey has always held fond memories of her early years at the American School of Barcelona. She attended ASB in the early '70s when her mother, Ms. Roberta Zaltzman (Estrin), was an art teacher. The campus at that time was located in Pedralbes, only relocating to its current location in Esplugues de Llobregat in 1979.

"I always knew I would come back to visit one day," shared Stefanie, who was able to combine a visit to Barcelona with her partner with a stop by the school. "It was even better to meet Marta Vernet again since we were in the same class!

Ms. Marta, ASB's Head of Community Service and Activities, was able to tour the campus with Stefanie and the pair enjoyed sharing stories about former times. They also shared old class photos with ASB's Director, Mark Pingitore.
