Alumni Update! Healthy habits start from home!

Two generations of ASB'ers collaborate for the first time!

ASB alumna and renowned textile designer Lorena Canals '79 and her two daughters, founders of the natural teethers and textile toy brands, Oli&Carol, Olympia '11 and Carolina '16, have collaborated for a first time as a family business to present a collection of children's home decor textiles. The collection, which conveys environmental respect, hopes to encourage a healthy lifestyle in children from an early age with its vegetable-based designs to prompt child interaction in a Montessori fashion.

Adding to this collection is a handcrafted touch & feel fabric book for little ones' to play with from 3 years of age. With this very first edition, Lorena sets foot in the world of children's publishing with a book entirely bound in the same cotton canvas fabric used as a base for its washable rugs and Oli&Carol's DIY textile toys.

All in all, this family collaboration collection not only advocates for children's healthy habits but also provides new forms of indoor playtime, based on role-playing, sensory stimulation, board games, and reading, all of which nurture education while making kids' spaces cozy and keeping them busy at home!
