Yuchan Choi '21 was thrilled to learn of another alum from the American School of Barcelona at Northwestern University when he commenced his undergraduate studies in Engineering this year. Dr. Kamran Mobarhan '85 moved to the United States shortly after completing his education at ASB, finishing his undergraduate and graduate studies in Engineering at Northwestern. Today Dr. Mobarhan is the Senior Director of Operations for the SHyNE Nanotechnology Resource at Northwestern.
"The meeting with Kamran was amazing! We toured the Northwestern Nanotechnology facilities where he works and visited rooms with multi-million dollar machines and equipment and state-of-the-art clean rooms for semiconductor research. He also kindly introduced me to researchers and faculty members from the NUANCE Nanotechnology center, doing amazing research with Northwestern's electron microscopes. It was inspirational to see all the facilities as well as Kamran's passion and love for his job," shared Yuchan.
