¡Hasta Pronto, Carmen!

If you walked around ASB at any point over the past years, chances are Carmen greeted you with a smile. As head of our cleaning team, she did far more than keep the school spotless. She was one of the warm and friendly faces in our community, known and loved by many.

Few of the cleaning staff have been part of daily life at ASB as long, or as warmly, as Carmen, who retires this summer after many years keeping our school looking its best.

This August, Carmen begins a well-earned retirement, with tributes shared from ASB families. "Thank you so much for your work, kindness and smile. Thank you for taking care of our children," wrote one parent. Another put it simply, "Mis hijos y yo siempre recordamos tu sonrisa por la escuela."

At the end-of-year staff lunch, Director Mark presented Carmen with flowers and a gift from the school, a small token for everything she has done for ASB. Happily, she is staying in Barcelona, and the door is always open for a visit.

Carmen, thank you for everything. ¡Hasta pronto, cariño!
