In early June, Cristina "Tina" Berting, daughter of our Head of Admissions, Robin Berting, returned to campus for the first time in 14 years. Tina flew in from Toronto as a surprise to celebrate her younger sister Camila's graduation, reuniting with her mother, Eun-Ju Youn, who traveled all the way from Korea, and her father, Robin, who lives here in Barcelona with Camila.

Tina attended ASB from 2007 to 2012 (G2–6) alongside Camila. Their mother was an active volunteer parent during that time and has particularly fond memories of our Wednesday SEED program, where she would teach students to make Korean food. This visit marked Eun-Ju's first time back on campus since 2012, and she was thrilled to see how much had changed and to catch up with our long-serving guard, Manuel.

While Tina was amazed by how much the campus had changed, many of the teachers she knew were still at ASB. She surprised several of them with her Spanish and Catalan, which are still as strong as ever.

After leaving ASB, Tina graduated from the International School of Brussels before moving to Toronto, where she now attends George Brown College, studying Sign Language Interpretation while pursuing her music on the side.

Welcome back to ASB, Tina and Eun-Ju; thank you both for making the trip!
