A quick visit back to campus in June by Maisara Sassi from the Class of 2017 with her husband, Yahya, whom she was keen to show the school that shaped her. Maisara was visiting family in Barcelona, including her younger brother, Omar, an incoming eleventh-grader, who joined the tour. She was thrilled to reconnect with so many familiar faces during her visit.
Since leaving ASB, Maisara earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and went on to specialize in Politics of the Middle East at SOAS University of London. She has since worked across international affairs, human rights, and media, and is currently based in London, where she works with the BBC.
