It was a pleasure to join forces with the American School of Madrid, American School of Paris, Frankfurt International School, and Munich International School to host our first inter-school alumni networking social in Madrid on January 13. While we always love reconnecting with our own alumni, it was especially rewarding to see shared experiences spark new connections across our school communities.
One memorable moment was when alumna Clara Escayola ‘24 arrived and pointed to an ASM alum's nametag to let us know he wasn’t coming. We later learned he was her boyfriend, Felipe Crespo Smart ‘24, whom she had first met on a school sports tournament at ASM.
We also heard that the evening continued after our event, with several alumni from different schools keeping the celebrations going together. What a fabulous opportunity to share similar upbringings among international school peers.
We look forward to doing this again soon.
