Remembering Ms. Yvonne Terran

A passionate teacher and valued member of the ASB family

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of former elementary teacher Ms. Yvonne Terran, who passed away last month.

Ms. Yvonne dedicated more than 30 years (1971-2003) to the Elementary division at the American School of Barcelona. During her career, she served as a Homeroom Teacher, supported students as an ELL Support Teacher, and at times also taught and assisted in the Art Room. In every role, she guided and inspired countless students. She was a passionate educator who cared deeply for her students and always sought the very best for them.

Her connection to ASB also extended to her family. Her children, Catherine Zabalbeascoa (Class of 1987) and Patrick Zabalbeascoa (Class of 1978), both attended and graduated from the school.

We are deeply grateful for Ms. Yvonne’s decades of service and the lasting impact she had on students, colleagues and families. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
