Alumna Vicky Townsend ‘22 is back in Barcelona from the University of Amsterdam, where she is currently in her first year studying Media and Culture. Vicky attended the American School of Barcelona from PK through G12 and was active in performing arts and sports. During high school, she held lead roles in Spotlight Productions’ performances of Hairspray, Mama Mia, Aladdin, and most recently, The Greatest Showman.
Vicky was able to attend Spotlight Productions' recent show, Greased Lightnin' - A Tribute to Grease, where fellow alums, Lucas Silveira Balloni '22, Eira Torras Llinares '22, and Clàudia Baulies '11, were involved.
“It is so different to see a show from an outside perspective,” she shared. “I loved the show - but I miss being on stage.”
During her visit, Vicky was able to catch up with some of her former teachers, including Ms. Bronwyn (IB Music) and Ms. Kaitlin (Spotlight Productions Director). She was also able to reunite with her former Varsity volleyball team.
