We were thrilled to host ASB’s inaugural alumni reunion in The Netherlands hosted by Michelle Collin, Director of Alumni Relations, and Charmaine Monds, IB Coordinator. Close to 40 former students, teachers, and parents representing 13 years of ASB history (from 2010 to 2023) gathered together to reconnect and reminisce about their days at the school.
We were thrilled to share the magic of our first alumni reunion held in February 2024 in the heart of New York City, hosted by Director Mark Pingitore and Michelle Collin, Director of Alumni Relations. This unforgettable evening brought together a diverse cohort spanning six incredible decades, uniting over 30 former students and parents for a night of rekindling connections and reminiscing about their days at the American School of Barcelona.

Our first alumni summer drinks in Barcelona welcomed more than 30 former students with Director Mark Pingitore, Assistant Director Bill Volchok, Director of Alumni Relations Michelle Collin, and a number of current teachers, including Ms. Ana Martinez and Dr. Dorothy Ginnett.
ASB Celebrates 60 Years of Excellence! ECC students hold the Spanish, Catalan, and American flags in this video timeline shared during our 60th celebrations. The flags represent the humble beginnings of the American School of Barcelona. In 1962, our founder, Dr. Jose Maria Poal, envisioned opening a school where teachers, students, and parents could work together to attain a quality American-based education. Spanning more than 60 nationalities in 2023, look how far we've come! Thanks for celebrating with us.
